Riding History: Rosalie started riding lessons aged five at a local riding school near her house. She had one lesson a week in a small group and thoroughly enjoyed all the games and fun she had. When she was eight her parents started to loan one of the school ponies for her, Pilot. She continued to have group lessons at the weekends on Pilot but also rode during the weeks and had one private lesson every other week on Pilot. She entered a few local shows on Pilot and had fun doing handy pony and showing classes. She learnt to jump and longed to do more on Pilot but the riding school wouldn’t let her because he was only on loan to her and was a school horse. On her ninth birthday she went up to the yard and there was Pilot with a bow around his neck, he was the best birthday present she’s ever had.
She showed Pilot and did really well in the ring doing both dressage and show jumping. Rose joined the pony club and started showing with the pony club teams. When she was Twelve she had outgrown Pilot and had started riding some more difficult ponies on the yard. She had also started cross country and longed to event but Pilot hated water and wouldn’t do the water jump. She then got bought her second pony, Moonshine; the mare was a handful but great for eventing. She worked hard with her. Having lots of lessons and going to every clinic she could. After a year of doing lots of dressage shows and show jumping she entered her first one day event with the pony club where she came second. From there her love of eventing was born and she was out competing most weekends. She rode Moonshine right up until she was nearly fifteen. She was competing for the pony club team in eventing and travelling quite far to do shows. So for her fifteenth birthday her mum and dad bought her a big bay eventing horse, Jimbo. She has owned Jimbo for nearly a year and hopes he can take her to the next level in the eventing world.

ABOUT YOU...
Age: Twenty
Years RPing: It must be around 8 years on and off. However i’m just coming back from my longest break, so haven’t RPed for about two+ years.
RL Horse Experience: I’ve ridden since I was two and got my first horse age 5. I’ve had horses since then and have competed in eventing, dressage and show jumping. I’ve also done some endurance/pleasure rides. I’m currently doing my BHS stages and should be a qualified riding instructor in the UK next year (I was hoping for this year but I think it might be more realistic to shoot for next year now!)
I currently have 2 retired mares on some land at my aunties house and then have, Jimbo, my horse at a yard nearer me. I work a few days a week at the yard (it’s a riding school) and help work with some of our more difficult horses. I have always worked with rescue and more difficult horses.
I do Natural Horsemanship and have done for many years. I do a lot of bareback and bridle-less riding with my horse along with the ground work. I use NH on all the horses i’m asked to work with.
I have also done western and horseball.
Example Post: Sorry this sucks. I just wrote it out quickly. The warm July sun was beating down on the small Yorkshire village. The clip clop of hooves could be heard on the road along with the sound of birds singing and children laughing and playing. Rose soothed her horses black mane down with her hand. Sitting lightly in the saddle of the big bay gelding who was alert and quite happy to be out enjoying the sun shine. His coat glistened, showing the early signs of dampness in the summer heat.
His ears pricked and his head tilted toward the garden at the bottom of the lane. There was a big banner across the hedge reading ‘Happy Birthday’ in big letters with balloons either side of it. You could just see the tips of a big pink bouncy castle. Jimbo snorted and side stepped slightly, “Steady boy, you’re ok,” Rosalie cooed to the gelding. Squeezing softly with her leg to send him forward, the sound of the children got louder as they got closer and Rose saw a clown making balloon animals. She laughed as a few children stopped playing and ran to the hedge to look at her and Jimbo. The bay gelding side stepped a bit more and snorted, arching his neck and watching the scene expecting a monster to leap up and grab him at any second. Rosalie re-assured him with a scratch on his withers.
She was so busy watching the children that she wasn’t ready when a balloon popped and Jimbo shot forward, leaping into the road and off toward the fields. She managed to right herself in the saddle and gently squeezed back on the reins. Bringing Jimbo to a controlled walk before they reached the hedge, breathing heavily she petted the big horse and soothed him with her voice. Guiding him towards the gap in the hedge that led across the field and to home.
