Riding History: Beka started riding horses when she was six years old. Since her family lived on a cattle ranch, she spent a lot of her time in the Western saddle. Before coming to AEA, she had only had a few experiences with English riding, so it's still a fairly new subject for her. She is exceptional with Western, though. She has won multiple roping and barrel racing competitions on Pocatello, her Paint horse that her parents bought for her when she was eleven. Her parents bought Illarion for her as a gift before she left for AEA, so their relationship is relatively new, also. He's her English horse, though, and he himself has had a lot of experience in that field so he hasn't put up many problems for Beka yet.

ABOUT YOU...
Age: 17
Years RPing: 5 or 6
RL Horse Experience: Both English and Western, more with Western, though
Example Post:Beka walked down the center aisle of the stables. She could already hear Pocatello's eager nickers and she already felt bad that she wasn't taking her out for a ride today. She knew how much that little horse loved the trail, but she really, really needed to work on her English riding today. She hadn't ridden Illarion since Tuesday and he had seemed quite antsy in his stall the day before, so she knew that he could use the work, too. She stopped in front of Illarion's stall and pulled his navy blue halter and lead rope from their hooks on the wall. With gentle hands, she opened the stall, pulled the harness over her horse's head, and lead him out of his stall. He gave her a small nudge on the shoulder as they left, but Beka was more concerned about Pocatello. Her nickers where turning into louder whinnies as she began to prance around his stall.
"I'm sorry, buddy, but today isn't your day. You'll just have to be patient," she said softly. Her voice seemed to calm the horse down a little. She continued to lead Illarion to the cross-ties, but she resolved that after she had worked with Illarion, she would find the time to take Pocatello on a short trail ride. At least she could get the jitters out of her for awhile.
