RULES!
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
CTRL + F to find specifics. Searches may include:
- Creation
- Age
- Aging
- Breeding
- Points
- Cost
- Time passage
- Teams
[/color]GENERAL!
- The normal yada yada, respect yourself and others!
- Swearing is allowed, duh, but don't get insane with it.
- Try and make your posts lengthy enough that you give your post-mates something to respond to. DEPTH, people, DESCRIPTIONS! <3
- One account per character.
- Capitalize the first letter of your first and last name, ie. John Jacob Jingleheimer.
- Since this is a school and there are many places to get into trouble, naturally everything goes. Sex, drugs, rock and roll, weed speed and birth control... But use some common sense, follow the Proboards TOS!
- Time passage - every two weeks the season changes, and every two months (approximately as we go on a 8-week system) it has been a year, and your student/horse must age, unless they are a foal... Refer to the last point in breeding for more info on that.
TEAMS!
- You will be assigned one of three teams for each character.
- You may have no more than two characters on any specific team at any given time.
- You may request a specific team but may not get that team as each team needs to remained balanced in all disciplines and numbers of students in general.
CLAIMS!
- There are a few things to claim besides face -
- cell number - once you've claimed this, it is stored in the AEA phone registry.
- email - once you've claimed this, it is stored in the AEA email registry.
- IM name - once you've claimed this, it is stored in the AEA email registry.
- dorm room - this will depend on your team, more information below in the "TEAMS" section. I will set up a dormitory in the correct spot for you as soon as your character is accepted!
CHARACTERS!
- Five characters MAX per person, I (the adminny person) will keep track n stuff. Me knows your IP's.
- Check the face claim and post there immediately with your claim, I will put them in the "reserved" section until you finish your bio!
- No relationships between two owned characters, ie. you can't have your Sally and your John in a relationship, nossiree!
- All characters start off with $2000, it will be added to your account once your bio is completed, and it will be done in a timely manner! Your admin is quick!
- You cannot exchange money between characters.
- You cannot sell a horse to yourself.
- This is a very realistic RPG ... Your characters need to eat etc, so keep that in mind and remember to buy food or go to the cafe every so often. Same goes with horses... But we'll get into that!
HORSES!
- Every character can own one horse to start (first 2 weeks).
- All horses after the first 2 week period costs credits and money to create - see below.
- You have to be able to afford them! You have to deal with vets, and farriers!
- Created horses start out with 500 points. Purchased will say how many points they have, and its up to the owner to keep a record of how many points per horse. Records can be detailed or undetailed as you'd like!
- When creating a horse, keep the disciplines realistic to the breed. Ditto when purchasing a new horse!
- Creating horses costs $500 and 15 credits, and you can own up to two personally created horses at any given time. If you created Bob and Jeanette you can't create another one, but if John Jacob Jingleheimer created Rascal you can so buy Rascal off of John. Comprende?
- Auctions and sales will be ongoing, check in frequently to see what's been added.
- Auction/sale horses have names but are not registered, you can change their name or keep it what it is.
- When you create, purchase or bid successfully on a horse it is your responsibility to fill out the registration form so your horse is acknowledged as existing on AEA. The registration forms are ridiculously short!
- To show or handle a stallion on exhibit grounds, the exhibitioner must be at least 18 years of age. To own one is any age.
- You can hire other people to ride/train your horse, as well as show. The rider points go to them and the horse points to your horse. You may have to pay them, depending upon who you hire. If you have two characters, Lacy and Lyn, Lacy can ride Lyn's horses - for free, and vice versa.
DOGS!
- Dogs are a new aspect that come into effect on October 22nd, 2010.
- Dogs will be much like horses in the way that there will be a registry for them and they will have their own shows.
- Bitches and dogs can breed at two years of age.
- Litter size can be from 2 - 6 puppies.
- The way to breed is the same as with horses except PM it to Riley instead, and the same goes with requesting stats. See horse breeding info below.
- Same rules go for dogs as they do for horses in terms of creation cost, initial points, and points required to breed.
- The vet, , is available for dogs and other small animals as well.
- PM for more info.
HORSE CARE!
- You need to keep track of feed and tack, as aforementioned, but vet and farrier are also a factor.
- The vet is on campus and is there for emergencies as well as basic veterinary care. Costs are posted, deals for multiple horses.
- The farrier comes on a twice-a-month rotation. The second and fourth week in every month. The second week is called "Schedule A" and the fourth week is called "Schedule B." Every time you register a horse they are assigned a schedule.
- Once on a schedule, keep an eye out on the farrier board for his next date. There will be announcements always in the main table, but you must respond to the thread with the appropriate information or your horse will get a big fat "missed."
- If you are away, the vet/farrier will automatically be taken care of/be ommitted.
- If you receive something involving the vet/farrier in the lottery... (Below) ... Attend to it!
BREEDING!
- You can breed your horses once they have 1500 points. Mares must be 5, and stallions must be 4. Geldings can't breed. Duh.
- To breed, post your mare/stallion stats in the foaling barn and Ms. Admin will get to them. You can request specific traits/qualities but... Don't hold your breath!
- The foal will have a number of points deduced from the parents total points.
- If you breed using someone elses stallion or mare for lease, you need to pay their fee first, and then THEY post their horses stats. ie, you post your mares stats, pay the stud owner, and then they post their studs stats. Then Ms. Admin gets to the foal!
- Young horses (3 & under) age every 2 weeks. If your mare foals, then the foal is a yearling in 2 weeks. Then 2 in two weeks. Then 3 in two weeks. So to age to 3 it takes six weeks total. After the age of 3 the horse ages every two months, which is a year rotation for AEA.
REGISTRIES!
- Type registries are effective October 22nd, 2010.
- For each Registry there will be a president that will run for a certain amount of time.
- There is a list of accepted breeds for each registry in each registry board.
- To register your horse, fill out the appropriate form in the board.
- Riley will select 3 members of each registry to run for president of that registry and then the members of that registry will vote one of them into presidency.
- Presidents will have the ability to edit everything in the registry and are responsible for keeping it updated.
- These powers are given when elected and are taken away after their term, or if you become inactive or are incapable of keeping things updated.
- Any member of the registry can host a show specifically for that registry.
- Presidents are in power for 1 month real time. This allows for new members to have the opportunity to be president as well.
- Elections begin the third week of a term.
- Presidents are paid $10,000.00 for a full, successful term.
PROPERTY!
- Each character can buy one piece of property from the real estate, and it can be as fancy or as simple as you'd like. If you want to buy a piece of property and already own one, you can sell to the Edmonton Real Estate Agency for a set fee depending on the size, etc of your property. PM admin or post in the Real Estate board to find out how much you can get for it. You can ALSO sell it to another member, if theres someone interested!
- If you own your own stable you must fill out the form and PM it to Ms. Admin, and she will address it promptly.
- Boys dorms are off limits to girls and girls off limits to boys, naturally, but the faculty at AEA cares... Not as much as they act. They will turn a blind eye. FYI.
- A character must be graduated or an adult to purchase a house. Supply an image at least 400 pixels in width and she will make a board.
MONEY!
- You start out with $2000, like I said, and you gain $100 per post as well as $50 for every positive karma received.
- The above amounts may be changed anytime, Riley will notify the community if she does so!
- Go around exalting people, and they'll do the same.
- Ms. Admin may have random bursts of giving and hand out the dough. Seriously. She's nuts.
- Taking the time to show a horse earns you a minimum of $100, regardless of placing. IF you come in first, you earn $500. Second, $350, third, $200... Fourth and below is simply $100!
- Earn money by entering contests, offering services to other members (graphics) etcetera.
CREDITS!
- You earn ten credits for joining AEA per character.
- Other ways to earn credits can be found in the Aspire Goodie Store under the General category.
- Credits can be traded in for many things and can be swapped for money. See a detailed list in the same board in the General category.
LOTTERY!
- The lottery is "drawn" bi-weekly. If you were chosen for a "gift," you must respond within a week, or it will either increase in severity (ie. Bob's sweet itch was just beginning but now hes rubbed out his entire tail, it will last for a week) or it will decrease in worth (ie. You won $1000 but somehow you lost $500). If you don't claim or take care of your "gift" by the next draw, either you lose your entire prize or something seriously bad that will cost mucho dough will happen to Bob. Maybe instead of paying $10 for cream you now have to order a $500 custom made tail because his tail is ruined and will never grow back. Uh-oh.
- Prizes can be anything from money to horses to the right to extra characters, or the negative... Lost tack, injury to person, horse, money "lost" etc.
- Ms. Admin will be watching (in all her forms) to see conduct on AEA, and the nicer you are (OOC not IC) the less likely you are to get hurt... Sometimes Ms. Admin will pick randomly because she has to, but sometimes you can take it as a warning! Be nice to guests, hold doors open for people, smile, and help old ladies with their groceries. ;)
SCHOOL!
- School in mandatory, and by that I mean post in the classroom for your relevant topic at least once-twice a week. MORE IS GREAT. But school sucks, really, and we're here for the horses... And the drama!
- PM THE ADMINNY WITH CLASS IDEAS. Horse related or not! Well, PM me, Ms Admin with anything, seriously, its what I'm here for!
OTHER!
- You can have other animals!
- No forms required but realistically, no monkeys or anything nuts. Cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents... Yeah. No leopaluradons...Err however that's spelled.
- POST IN THE SCRAPBOOKS, we wanna see your little furries. <3
all code revisions and new codes will be in red! keep your eyes peeled!
Anything crossed out is not permanently removed from the game, only temporarily or in some manner and requires sorting out. In the middle of Maythe game underwent a massive revamp. Bare with me and please do PM me if need be!
