He does have hopes, just like any jockey, that he will be able to team up with a horse that he can ride into legend.

Riding History: Since the discovery of horses as a lad (courtesy of his uncle) Cameron took up lessons at a nearby farm when he was seven and rode for five years (in that time learning the basics of english riding, horse care, jumping, and some cross country) before falling inactive when he began to struggle with his schooling at the age of twelve. When he was fourteen, and his grades were better, his parents agreed to let him return to lessons where he got a better foundation in cross-country riding with stronger horses. He was sixteen when he began to wriggle into the racing scene. He started as a workout rider, learning what to do and what not to do with the racers, and eventually moved on to an apprenticeship. He eventually received his license and has since been involved in the racing scene, known for his gentle way of handling horses.

Example Post:The thump-thump of the bass shook Cameron to his very core, the bass was so loud that his teeth rattled and his vision shuddered with every beat. Not far away his group danced to the rhythm, their bodies twisting, turning, and bumping together. Some held their hands high, providing dark silhouettes against the colorful flashing of the lights, glasses clenched in the palms, refracting the strobes, ice clattering against the glass sides. Cameron turned to the bar, sliding his half-full glass of coke back and forth between his hands; he repeated the motion a few times before lifting the glass to his lips and drinking down the rest of his soda, taking an ice cube into his mouth before setting the glass down. He chewed the ice and turned in his seat just as Anne, a tiny woman with cropped blond hair from his group approached and grabbed his lower arm with one hand while resting the elbow of her opposite arm on his shoulder. She leaned her head on the crook of her shoulder and gave the young man a shake. "C'mon, Cam! Stop being such an introvert." She pulled him half-way out of his seat before the boy braced against her strength. "Anne," he said, crushing the remaining ice in his mouth with his back molars and swallowing it, "you know I'm not one to dance." He offered an apologetic smile, removed her hand from his arm, and returned to his seat, and to his relief Anne huffed and turned back to the dance floor. Unfortunately that wasn't the end of her antics; she returned shortly with another from their group, Daniel, a man who was a bit taller and much stockier than Cameron. As a team the two seized Cameron, pulled him to his seat, and began to usher him to the dance floor. "Anne's right, Cam, you need to have some fun now and then - come out of your shell." Cameron shot an annoyed glare at Anne, she was a woman who was always trying to push the limits of his comfort zone and had much influence over Daniel who used force to bend things to his will. Combined Anne and Daniel could be unpleasant to be around. In fact, because of them Cameron had been strong-armed into this expedition to Six-Thirty-Six.
Cameron struggled against their hold on him, but eventually submitted when he realized it would take a lot more than flailing to escape their will. "I'm not one for such things," he complained, "I can't dance." At that proclamation Daniel tugged them to a stop and whirled Cameron around. "You can't dance?" Daniel looked him over, pursing his lips. "How can you not dance?" Anne stood at Cameron's side, her arm looped through his, holding it fast to her side. "No," Cameron reinforced, hoping this would persuade them to let him go. "Just move to the music!" Anne piped up, shaking him a bit and bumping her hip against his as the bass thudded. "I've got two left feet!" He was starting to feel a bit desperate now. Daniel frowned and grabbed Anne by the shoulder, pulling the woman away from Cameron. "Maybe he's right," Daniel said, earnings a harumph from his smaller partner. "But, you know what? The best way to learn is to do." A sly grin curled the man's lips and planting his large hands into Cameron's chest he shoved the jockey into the swarm of dancers. "Sink or swim, Cam!"
