Look for me another day
I feel that I could change, I feel that I could change
Henry teaches WORLD HISTORY and JUMPING at AEA. He probably rides the absolute least of any instructor, because he's afraid that he'll end up hurting another horse. He's afraid of a lot of things. He's pretty friendly, but he tends to shy away from talking about himself and his problems. He rode the show jumping circuit for a really long time, so he doesn't have that many actual friends. He used to have quite a few enemies, but he doesn't have any of those any more either. He's never been in a serious relationship and is gay, although he doesn't actually know this yet.
There's a sudden joy that's like
A fish, a moving light, I thought I saw it
Henry could really use some people who he could actually talk to and all that. Just people to be close to. As a teacher, he does pick favorites (he tries to be fair, but realizes that this is not in human nature) and is pretty jovial with students. He's fairly young for a teacher, although quite a bit older than most of them. He gets along with people pretty well, but tends to remain distant. He will probably only have a few people who he can really tell anything to, discuss anything with, even the most serious things.
Walking in the circle of the flashlight
Someone starts to sing, to join me
Enemies. Henry just doesn't get along with some people. He very rarely despises anyone, but he does tend to avoid those who rub him the wrong way. As a rule, he doesn't like students who sleep in his class, don't apply themselves, or are a disruption. He doesn't like people who talk too loudly or are pompous. He deplores bullies and other narrow-minded individuals. As a rule, though, he tries not to get involved with too much drama.
Talk of loneliness in quiet voices
I am shy, but you can reach me
Henry's love life is rather depressing. Like most top riders, he had little time to explore that particular facet of life when he was riding the circuit and he has continued this pattern. It's not as if he hasn't had relationships, it's just that most were short lived and he never really saw any point in them. Yes, he is gay. Yes, he is not aware of this fact. Other people may be way more clued in then he is, however, because a lot of things are pretty suspicious about him.
