Freeze! (Nolan)

The afternoon was perfect, and that was all that mattered, to many, sadly not to Ashling. As she stood on the side of the beach sporting a bikini, when it was yet still a little too cold for wearing one but this was her job, as she stood up to her knees in the water smiling and splashing forward with the waves she gave a giggle. All the photographer wanted was her to play in the water. So she was. But damn it was sooooo cold. As she looked up to the sky as a bird flew over head she sighed. She was not feeling the best to begin with, she hated leaving Lilly at the school, even if this photo shoot didn’t involve horses, she missed her mare very much.
Standing in the cold water she could feel a shiver trying to work its way through her body, but she fought it off. She was a professional! She couldn’t act cold! She had to do this perfectly! “Alright! Dive under water and then it’s a wrap!” The director called. Ash sighed and did as she was told plunging into the cold water before coming up by then. The camera was off and she moved to the shore. Shivering. Her teeth chattering uncontrollably.
“Oh Ash!” Anna her manager spoke sadly. Wrapping her in a blanket and taking her to a RV. Helping her dry and change before she could catch a cold. She was now bundled up in a warm pair of jeans and tee-shirt with a zippered hoody over top. As she looked around she stepped into her shoes and then headed out.
“Ah Ash! Are you okay?” The director asked smiling.
“Ah im fine thank you!” She smiled sweetly.
“Alright.” The man was slightly rounded but good hearted. He smiled. “You do amazing work as always! Your mother wont be to happy to see her daughter racing up behind her!” He smiled then walked to a black SUV and climbed in. “I’ll likely call you again some time Ash! But for now take care!” He called.
Anna stepped out and looked to Ashling and smiled. “I can take you back t school if you like.”
“Ah no it’s okay Anna, I’ll walk from here. It’s only what, one thirty! And it’s a beautiful day! Go enjoy!” She smiled. The woman Anna smiled and nodded “Alright.” She turned and went into the RV started it and left. Ashling stood there alone where several cars had been parked only moments ago. She now stood all buy herelf. She gave a mental sigh and began to walk away, towards the school pulling her Mp3 player out of her pocket she turned on the music and began to hum along as she walked when she saw someone with well… a camera. It was not the high tech cameras she was used to but none the less it was a camera. She watched the person closely as she started walking near them. After all… Se had to go that way to reach the academy!
